"I've Lost All Respect For You", Sikhala Fumes At Mudenda
MDC Alliance legislators on Wednesday were left incensed following National Assembly Speaker Jacob Mudenda’s ruling that they have no right to direct questions towards cabinet ministers since they do not recognise the one who appointed them.
Zengeza West MP, Job Sikhala, told Mudenda that he had lost all the respect that he had for him. He said:
Speaker, I have lost respect for you. You have reduced this House into a kangaroo Parliament. I was elected by people and you are denying me the right to ask questions. Having had sympathies for you before, I withdraw any sympathy that I had.
FeedbackMDC president Nelson Chamisa has hitherto refused to recognise President Emmerson Mnangagwa at the legitimate Head of State claiming that the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) rigged the 2018 presidential election in favour of Mnangagwa.
MDC Alliance MPs recently walked out on Mnangagwa while he was delivering the State of the Nation Address (SONA) and Mudenda punished them by forfeiting their sitting allowances.
