After the government offered them a 97% salary increment which they rejected, civil servants will meet on Monday to decide their next course of action, Daily News reports.
This was revealed by Apex Council Chairlady Cecilia Alexander as she was speaking to the Daily News. Alexander said:
It is a figure that was not informed by any consideration of the situation on the ground in terms of the cost of living.
FeedbackIt is a figure that was plucked from nowhere and a decision was made to say this is what we will give them, but it is unfortunately unacceptable.
