The Reserve Bank Of Zimbabwe will by June 2020 have injected another half a billion cash into circulation to ease the cash crisis, The Sunday Mail reports.
Mthuli Ncube speaking at the sidelines of the signing ceremony between his ministry and the African Development Bank said:
We have put in close to $130 million into the economy. Over the next six months we will do half a billion. We are being responsible, prudent and careful. We want to make sure that our Zimbabwe dollar remains stable, that it is not a source of price increases.
FeedbackPhysical cash shortages have been the norm since 2016, this has resulted in the insurgence of cash barons.
