Zimbabwean-born defender Tivonge Rushesha has signed his first professional contract at English Championship side Swansea City.
The 17-year-old is a product of the Welsh club’s academy and made his senior debut in the Carabao Cup this past August 2019.
Rushesha has played for Wales at Under-17 level and played in the Uefa Under 17 qualifiers.
However, the teenager is still eligible to play for the Warriors. He was drafted in 2021 Afcon qualifiers team but the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) was not able to secure his passport on time.
Rushesha’s deal will keep him at the Welsh-based club until 2022.
