"Yes, University Fees Will Be Adjusted" - Minister Of Higher And Tertiary Education
The Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Professor Amon Murwira on Sunday told Zim Morning Post that fees for State-Owned Universities will be reviewed.
He, however, observed that there were some institutions which had already raised their fees without government approval. Murwira said:
Every State university is governed by Government and there are no fees increments that were approved for any State universities as we speak.
FeedbackYes, the fees will be adjusted. Our adjustments will be based on processes we follow and people will be informed. We have reports that some tertiary institutions such as Mutare Polytechnic, Great Zimbabwe University and Midlands State University have increased their fees without Government approval.
The government recently indicated that Universities would not be allowed to raise fees to above $5000 Zimbabwean dollars.

The confusion over fees is affecting students who are resuming studies very soon and would want to register and pay for accommodation.
