Opposition Party Accuses Govt Of Attempting To Assassinate Its Leaders
Secretary-General of newly-formed People’s Party, led by exiled former cabinet minister Walter Mzembi, Lloyd Msipa, has sensationally claimed that there was an assassination attempt on the party’s leaders recently.
Msipa alleged that the government of President Emmerson Mnangagwa last week dispatched MID operatives to hunt down Walter Mzembi, Godfrey Gandawa, Saviour Kasukuwere, Patrick Zhuwawo and other politicians living in South Africa with orders to kill them. Msipa posted on Twitter:
Meanwhile @edmnangagwa last week dispatched MID operatives to hunt down @waltermzembi @DrGGandawa @Hon_Kasukuwere @PatrickZhuwao & eminent exiles in SA with orders to kill. They hired black Audi Q5 & white Toyota Yaris @BidvestCarHire at OR Tambo – @CyrilRamaphosa @DIRCO_ZA
FeedbackMzembi and some suspected G40 kingpins launched their party from South Africa in 2019 and vowed to give Mnangagwa a good run for his money in the next general election set for 2023.
