Bryn Mteki Claims He Received Death Threats
2018 Presidential candidate who rejoined Zanu PF, Bryn Mteki claims he received death threats, The Herald reports. Mteki took the accused persons to court where they denied ever threatening his life according to the publication.
It is the state’s case that on January 24, 5 people who are Mteki’s employees went to Mteki’s offices to serve him with papers prepared by their lawyers detailing their grievances against him.
Mteki reportedly refused to entertain him and they started shouting at his employee who then decided to close the screen bar. Hearing the commotion, Mteki came out and one of the complaining employees poured beer on him in a fit of rage.
The employees have been remanded out of custody and will be back in court on 18 February.
