Iran Vice President For Women And Family Affairs Tests Positive To Coronavirus

Iran’s Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, Masoumeh Ebtekar, has tested positive for the coronavirus. This comes after on Tuesday Iranian officials confirmed that Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi had been infected and was under quarantine.
The novel coronavirus was first reported in China in December last year and has since frog-jumped into a dozen more countries killing thousands of people mostly in mainland China.
There are great fears that the virus may kill over ten million people if it spreads to Africa and other developing countries whose health systems are already in shambles or collapsed.
Back home, Zimbabwe authorities have confirmed that they have once again quarantined a suspected coronavirus case that had earlier been discharged.
The woman arrived from China showing signs and symptoms of the virus and was quarantined. She was released from quarantine last week and she could have infected many exposed to her for a week if she indeed has the virus.

Fears abound that the health system may not be able to contain the virus since it is currently in a dilapidated state.
