Secret Money Printing Threatens IMF Assistance To Zimbabwe - Report

Sources close to the negotiations between the IMF and the Zimbabwean government said a recent discovery of a secret money printing press by the government is threatening the global money lender’s efforts to help Zimbabwe, New Zimbabwe reports

Last week the IMF issued a statement that said:

Uneven implementation of reforms, notably delays and mis-steps in FX and monetary reforms, have failed to restore confidence in the new currency

The government is yet to comment on the allegations that its secretly printing money.
