Zimbabwe Tests 274 Coronavirus Samples Since 20 March, 1-Day Task In SA
The government of Zimbabwe has revealed that it has tested a total of 274 coronavirus samples since 20 March.
This came after the government yesterday tested 33 samples for COVID-19 at the National Microbiology Reference Laboratory.
Authorities say that all the 33 samples tested negative for the virus leaving the number of confirmed cases at eight.
The government is being criticised for not conducting enough tests in an endeavour to have as low positive cases as possible.
They conclude that since the sample is very small considering the population, the published figures are not a true reflection of what is really on the ground hence unreliable.
The total number (274) of cases tested in Zimbabwe during the period stated above is slightly higher than the number (218) of cases which tested positive in South Africa on 27 March alone.
