3 Malawians In Isolation Centers Test Positive For COVID-19, Midlands Records Its First COVID-19 Case

3 Malawian illegal immigrants intercepted by security forces on their way to South Africa have tested positive for COVID-19. This was revealed by the ministry of health in their daily COVID-19 update which said:

Five (5) cases tested positive for COVID-19 today. These include 1 male returnee from Botswana who is in isolation in Gweru, 3 Malawian illegal immigrants who were intercepted by security authorities and in isolation in Beitbridge while awaiting deportation to Malawi.

The same update also confirms that Midlands has recorded its first COVID-19 case, a male who is a returnee from Botswana. This also brings to 4 the total number of returnees from Botswana who tested positive for the virus this week after 1 case was recorded earlier this week and 2 more cases subsequently followed the first case.
