I Am Taking The Red Hat Off - As Kanye West Withdraws Support For Trump To Run For President
American rapper who recently announced his desire to lead the superpower Kanye West held an interview with Forbes Magazine yesterday and he said he was running under a new party the Birthday Party, Reuters reports.
West who was an avid Trump supporter over the years has in an interview said he was taking the red had off, which he has previously used to show his support for Trump over the years. According to the publication:
“I am taking the red hat off, with this interview,” West told Forbes, referring to Trump’s trademark red “Make America Great Again” baseball cap. “Like anything I’ve ever done in my life, I’m doing (this) to win,” he added.
FeedbackWest also reportedly answered the question if he wasn’t trying to split the black vote according to the publication:
West denied that his aim was to split the Black vote and hurt the chances of Trump’s Democratic opponent, Joe Biden. It was “a form of racism and white supremacy” to suggest all Black people should support the Democrats, he said.
