Demonstrations Will Destabilise The Peace Prevailing In Zimbabwe - POLAD
POLAD principals have said demonstrations being planned by non-governmental organisations, trade unions, churches and some political parties will destabilise the peace prevailing in the country, The Herald reports
Bethel Christian Party leader Dr Willard Mugadza speaking at the sidelines of POLAD’s third principals’ executive plenary meeting at the statehouse yesterday said dialogue instead of demonstrations was the way forward. Said Dr Mugadza;
The issues that are being raised by those that are outside Polad are the same issues that we are also raising since the inception of Polad. So negotiations with the ruling party has been agreed and they shall continue. Dialogue is the best way forward instead of engaging in demonstrations.
FeedbackAnother POLAD principal, New Patriotic Front President Welcome Shumba also said:
We don’t support the demonstrations. As Zimbabweans, we should find each other. We know those who are behind the demonstrations. As Zimbabweans we should learn to dialogue.
