We Will Continue To Investigate Corruption And Take Swift Action Against Such Activities - ED
President Emmerson Mnangagwa while addressing a POLAD principals’ executive plenary meeting yesterday said the clampdown on corruption will continue and the government will take swift action against corruption. This came a few short days after he fired embattled Health Minister Obadiah Moyo who is facing corruption and criminal abuse of office charges.
Speaking to POLAD principals, President Mnangagwa said:
We continue to investigate corrupt activities and take swift action whenever such cases arise. This global health emergence has revealed weaknesses relating to our health systems initial inability to handle the emergency due to inadequate equipment and medical supplies However, Government has since directed most of its funding to fight the scourge.
FeedbackThe president also urged POLAD members to support the government in coming up with the National Development Strategy and he shed more light on the strategy which he said has 14 clusters and it will help his government to achieve its middle-class economy by the year 2030.
