According to the Infomation Ministry’s permanent Secretary Nick Mangwana, all returnees will be released to go and quarantine at home if they bring a 48 hour COVID-19 negative certificate.
Nick whose account was unrestricted by Twitter today tweeted the update and said:
As of 4 Sept 2020, all returnees with 48-hours negative COVID-19 certificates are released at Ports of Entry for self-quarantine. Returnees without certificates will proceed to a quarantine where they will be tested and either discharged for self-quarantine or isolation.
FeedbackMangwana took the time to respond to a Twimbo that had asked how the government will know or deal with the issue of forged COVID-19 free certificates and said:
Yeah. It’s a real risk but it’s same as any other documentation really.
