Pravin Gordhan's Spokesperson Resigns

Sam Mkokeli, the Spokesperson of South Africa’s Public Enterprises Minister, Pravin Gordhan, has resigned after publicly denouncing the minister for investigating whistleblowers.
It is alleged that Gordhan directed the investigation of whistleblowers who leaked information about his Chief of Staff, Nthabiseng Borotho who is believed to have been hired despite failing to meet minimum requirements.
Mkokeli argued that the investigation of whistleblowers created an environment of fear.
The department made the announcement on Sunday night adding that Mkokeli is expected to leave the office at the end of November.
Meanwhile, the opposition Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) led by Julius Malema wants Gordhan sacked for alleged corruption and running down the energy sector in that country.
