Robber Out On Bail Survives Harare Robbery Shootout With The Police
One of the 6 armed robbers who were involved in a shootout with ZRP officers in Harare CBD last week was out on bail after he was involved in an armed robbery case in Murehwa last week, The Herald reports.
Blessing Bheura (29) was reportedly arrested for armed robbery in Murehwa and he had been released on bail last week on Tuesday exactly 3 days before he was arrested in Harare for robbing a shop owner and resisting arrest and open firing at CID police officers who wanted to arrest them.
According to the publication:
Bheura had been released last Tuesday on bail, just three days before the robbery. He was on bail for an armed robbery in Murehwa while using a pistol that he had allegedly stolen from the safe in the house of a Waterfalls couple this year, before he started committing criminal activities.
ZRP also stated that some of the 4 robbers that died during the shootout were on their wanted list for committing armed robberies in Harare.
