There Can Never Be Any Renewal Without Exfoliation - Chamisa Speaks On Defections From His Party
2 years ago
The youthful MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa has taken the time to address defections from his party to the ruling Zanu PF and said people should not worry about such individuals they are serving their own interests, New Zimbabwe reports.
Speaking to the publication, Nelson Chamisa said
The challenge with some politicians is that they choose to pursue individual interests over the people’s cause. Such is not good leadership. Public leadership is about service and sacrifice, being upright and principled.
FeedbackChamisa also addressed the issue of older politicians either jumping ship to join the MDC T led by Douglas Mwonzora or the ruling party Zanu PF and said defections were a necessary development that will renew them:
When an old dry leaf falls off, a new fresh shoot is there to replace it. There can never be any renewal without exfoliation or peeling off of the tired and the lifeless. This is a perfect opportunity to restart, reboot.
