SANDF Deny Deployment Of Soldiers To Nkandla

The South African Defence Force (SANDF) has denied reports of deployment of soldiers to Nkandla to confront supporters and sympathisers of former president Jacob Zuma.

Zuma was recently found guilty of contempt of court and sentenced to 15 months in jail by South Africa’s Constitutional Court.

In violation of a court order, Zuma had failed or neglected to appear before the Zondo Commission which is investigating allegations of corruption he allegedly committed during Zuma’s nine-year rule.

His supporters are against the ruling and are marching in solidarity with the former president. Pindula News present SANDF statement denying the deployment of soldiers.
