Pacific 24Hr Hospital in Mabvuku has reopened after the Health Professions Authority (HPA) inspected it in mid-February and established that it met the requirements for it to operate.
Journalist Takunda Makina reported that the hospital was closed on 10 February for renovations, equipment procurement and installations.
HPA did the first inspection, and a second was done by another team of the inspectorate. In both cases, Pacific 24Hr Hospital passed. Nothando Mhlanga, an HPA inspector, said:
The Hospital meets the minimum Health requirements of its category as specified in Health Professions Authority Registration, Inspection and Renewal Manual Vol 1 of 2017.
The intended operations of the hospital are in accordance with the provisions of the Health Professions Act (Chapter 27:19)
