Zimbabwe Weather Report And Forecast 14 July 2022

The Meteorological Services Department of Zimbabwe has released a weather report and forecast for the period 13 – 15 July 2022. Pindula News presents the report and forecast below:

PREAMBLE

ZIMBABWE EVENING WEATHER REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 HRS ON THURSDAY 14 JULY 2022 VALID UNTIL SATURDAY 16 JULY 2022.

Cloudy conditions which prevailed this morning over the country suppressed the occurrence of ground frost. Meanwhile, relatively moist southeast airflow should freshen over the southern areas of the country.

FORECASTS FOR TOMORROW, FRIDAY 15 JULY 2022

It should be cloudy and mild with sunny breaks in all Mashonaland Provinces, Harare Metropolitan Province and northern areas of Manicaland. It should be cool in the morning. The southern parts of Manicaland, Masvingo, southern areas of Midlands and Matabeleland South Provinces should experience cloudy, cool and windy conditions with patchy drizzle. However, more sunny conditions are expected in Matabeleland North, Bulawayo Metropolitan Province and the northern parts of the Midlands. It should be wanner than of late in these areas though cool in the morning and evening.

IMPACTS

• Cold conditions may affect the body’s health. with common colds, influenza and fever, as well as asthma being common.

• Poultry producers should note that broilers are sensitive to temperature variations.

ACTIONS TO TAKE

• Dress appropriately to keep warm especially overnight, and ensure vulnerable members of society are warm as well. When braziers are in use. please ensure the room is well ventilated.

• Poultry producers should check temperature levels regularly and adjustments made to reduce bird mortality and increase productivity.

• Drive cautiously, especially when visibility has been diminished by fog or cloud-induced darkness.

Cloudy, cool and windy conditions with drizzle are expected in Matabeleland South, Bulawayo Metropolitan Province, Masvingo, southern areas of Midlands and Manicaland. It should be mostly cloudy in all other areas with freshening winds. Daytime conditions should be cool. becoming cold towards evening.
