ZESA Issues Another Notice Of Power Disconnection To Defaulters

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) a subsidiary of the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) has issued a notice of power disconnection to defaulters. In a statement seen by Pindula News, ZETDC urged customers to settle their bills to avoid being disconnected. Read the statement:

NOTICE OF POWER DISCONNECTION TO DEFAULTERS

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission & Distribution Company (ZETDC) would like to advise its valued customers in Harare Region that the region is currently implementing credit control measures for defaulting customers. Customers are therefore advised to settle their bills to avoid being disconnected. Customers can make use of the following platforms to pay their bills:-

1. Visit their nearest ZETDC banking hall

2. Log on to our self-service portal https://selfservice.co.zw and pay using Ecocash.

3. Payment to your district’s bank account: Account numbers arc listed below:-

• When making, hank payments customers are advised to quote their account number and name and once payment has been made. proof of payment should be emailed to pop@zetdc.co.zw for the account to be updated.

Meanwhile, some members of the public say the local power utility has been issuing the threats without actioning them.

Some allege that ZESA is owed by political elites hence the “hesitation” by the power utility to effect disconnections.
