Armed Robbers Pounce On Concession Service Station

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is investigating a robbery case that occurred in Concession in which armed robbers pounced on a service station and got away with nearly US$5 000.

Police say the robbery occurred on Thursday the 25th of August 2022 just after midnight. Reads a police report seen by Pindula News:

The ZRP is investigating a robbery case which occurred at a service station in Concession on 25/08/22 at around 0045 hours, where six unknown suspects who were in a black Mercedes Benz while armed with an unidentified pistol attacked a security guard who was on duty at the premises, before breaking into the offices where they stole a safe with US$4 843. Anyone with information to contact any nearest Police station.

Meanwhile, police in Mayobodo in Mangwe District, in Matabeleland South Province arrested a 26-year-old Godknows Ncube on Thursday in connection with a murder case.

What happened:

It is alleged that Godknows Ncube struck Martin Nyathi (28) with stones after a misunderstanding while going home from a beer drink on Wednesday.

Nyathi was found the following morning, lying on the ground in a pool of blood. Police investigations led to the apprehension of the suspect at his homestead.
