NSSA Boss Charles Shava Granted $500 000 Bail
National Social Security Authority (NSSA) acting general manager Charles Shava, who was arrested on Thursday on a criminal abuse of office charge, has been granted bail by the Harare Magistrates Court, reported NewsDay.
Shava, who was being represented by Musindo Hungwe, was granted $500 000 bail when he appeared before Harare magistrate Stanford Mambanje on Friday.
Shava allegedly altered a board resolution that had rejected the proposed allowances for four NSSA doctors.
It is alleged that Shava caused the human resources manager to pay the allowances without approval, claiming the board had approved the allowances.
