Patson Dzamara was reportedly detained and questioned by police when he went to see a colleague who is in police custody at Harare Central Police Station. Dzamara was in the company of Shadreck Dhliwayo when he was asked to join four senior detectives including the officer commanding CID Harare province in an office.

When they were in the office Dzamara says they told him that they were looking for him and Evan Mawarire in connection with yesterday's stay away and the one being planned for next week. After being moved from one office top another Dzamara decided to leave before he was called back on his way out and questioned again regarding yesterday's stay away. Mawarire, Dzamara and members of the Tajamuka/Sesjikile Campaign were fingered as the ones inciting Zimbabweans to demonstrate against the Zanu-PF government.
