Background

Quincy was born on 20 April 1984 in Harare. He comes from a family of four children, two step sisters named Shanelle and Patrice and then blood sister Whitney. He is son to one of the most iconic yesteryear footballer and now coach, Joey Antipas.[1]

Education

Antipas attended Moffat Primary School in Harare . He got a bursary to study at Prince Edward School because of his recognition in the game of cricket.[2]

Career

Growing up, Antipas was not into soccer, he was actually more into cricket but surprisingly ended up being a soccer start. He started his football career at Motor Action Football Club where he made a name for himself for his pace and dribbling skills. After quite a long stint with the Mighty Bulls, Antipas made a move to join CAPS United Football Club. At Makepekepe, Antipas won the premier league title two consecutive times under the guidance of Charles Mhlauri [3] He has also had six-year stint in Denmark playing for five clubs, some of them which include Blokhus, HB Koge, and Hobro IK.[3] He joined Hobro in 2014 and was a regular for the club and scoring a string of crucial goals for the club. His fine performance for Hobro also spilled into the 2015 season where he also scored important goals for the club including a brace in a league game against Esbjerg.[2] Quincy pointed out that despite being a football great, he did not play a part in grooming him as a footballer. Instead, it is said that people such as Zivanai Chiyangwa and David George were more instrumental in his development as a footballer. Quincy had joined a second division club B.93 in February 2019 until the summer of 2020 but ended up leaving the club in July 2019.
