In business, a Subsidiary is a company that is owned and controlled by another company, usually referred to as the holding company.

In Zimbabwe, examples of subsidiary companies are:

• CABS - a subsidiary of Old Mutual
• EcoCash - a subsidiary of Econet Wireless Zimbabwe
• Bakers Inn - a subsidiary of Simbisa Brands
