In an interview with the Daily News, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s wife Marry said she is still putting on bandages on her hands to prevent the wounds from infection.
She said she is recovering well and has been able to go to work. Marry denied reports that Deputy Health Minister John Mangwiro is taking care of the Chiwengas saying they are capable of taking care of each other. Said Marry:
I have these bandages on but my hands are no longer swollen, the bandages are to cover the wounds from infection. Yes, my hands and legs were affected during that bomb blast, but I am recovering well. I feel fine. I even go to work and I even drive, I have carried on living as I used to. But you can’t expect the effects to just disappear.
