MDC VP, Mudzuri Heckled By Party Supporters, Hounded Off Stage For 'Selling Out'
MDC vice-president Elias Mudzuri was on Thursday forced to abandon a party event by irate supporters. He was booed off stage when he attempted to address the MDC crowd. The angry supporters followed him to his car while hurling expletives at him for allegedly selling out.
The bad blood between Mudzuri and MDC supporters was worsened early this week when the former attended a State House event in which parliament’s presiding officers were introduced to President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
A video of Mudzuri being confronted by MDC officials Charlton Hwende and Murisi Zwizwai has since gone viral. The duo is seen confronting their party superior, accusing him of selling out.
Mudzuri has since defended himself for going to State House and went as far as daring those accusing him of selling out to fire him from the party.
