Mash East Nominates Mutinhiri For MDC Vice Presidency
Trace Mutinhiri has been nominated by MDC Mashonaland East Province to run for Vice President at the May Congress.
She joined MDC in 2012 after she was expelled from Zanu PF party in 2011. Zanu PF accused her of supporting MDC when she praised the late MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai during the burial of her brother Innocent Mazuva who an MDC activist.
During the time she was in Zanu PF, she was an MP and she also served as the women’s league political commissar.
According to MDC spokesperson Jacob Mafume, Mutinhiri was also nominated among other party members including Vice President Morgan Komichi and deputy national chairperson Tendai Biti.

The process went on well with all the leaders present and in a jubilant mood, all of them were well received by the people and there is harmony in the party.
David Coltart was also nominated to become the party treasurer- general alongside MP Kureva of Epworth.
