Fire Destroys Housing Blocks At Guinea Fowl High School
A fire destroyed 2 housing blocks at Guinea Fowl High School on Tuesday this week. The housing blocks served as homes for 6 teacher families. No one was hurt in the fire. It was put out by the Gweru City Council but not before it had destroyed property.
Gweru City Council public relations officer, Manford Gambiza:
We were quite responsive as it took us 10 minutes to go and put out the fire. There was extensive damage to property. We suspect an electric fault.
FeedbackSocial media is awash with reports that one of our tankers had no water which is false and I would like to urge the Gweru community to desist from circulating misleading information
This month, another fire destroyed school blocks at one of the country’s oldest schools, Hartzell School in Manicaland.
