MDC Presidium: Contest Between Substance & Loyalty
A candidate to the presidium post in the MDC has argued that the upcoming party’s 5th elective congress scheduled for this May will determine between substance and loyalty.
Two of the contestants for the Vice President position, Tendai Biti and Welshman Ncube have just returned to the party after going separate ways. Their substance is however compelling to ignore. They are in the race together with party loyalists, Morgen Komichi and Elias Mudzuri.
It is believed that Chamisa prefers substance than loyalty.
Candidates presented their manifestos during a party caucus at the party headquarters. The manifestos were preempting the candidates’ plans for the party. Whilst Komichi and Mudzuri emphasised loyalty, Ncube, and Biti, who outclassed them, hammered on the importance of substance.
