ZIFA Is Lying About Booking Barbourfields Stadium For The Botswana Zimbabwe Match - BCC
The Zimbabwe Football Association had been accused of not being truthful when it comes to telling CAF that they had booked Bulawayo’s Barbourfields stadium for the Warriors’ game against Botswana slated for 15 November Sunday News reports.
ZIFA through its VP had said they are taking the 2021 Total Africa Cup Of Nations Qualifier match between the warriors and Botswana to Bulawayo’s Barbourfields stadium. It was later on reported that CAF had blocked the move to have the match in Bulawayo because CAF said there was a problem with the floodgates at BF stadium.
However, BCC has dismissed stories flying around that ZIFA wanted to move the match to Bulawayo because they never engaged them. The BCC PR officer told Sunday News that the venue switch issues don’t exist because the football body never engaged BCC in the first place.
