Macauley Bonne Declared Fit To Play After Heart Tests
Charlton Athletic has confirmed that Zimbabwean striker Macauley Bonne will continue training and playing for the club after a cardiac screening.
Bonne missed out on international duty with Zimbabwe after he confirmed that he was out of action through “unforeseen medical grounds”.
Charlton Athletic issued a statement regarding Bonne’s fitness, saying:
The club’s medical team can confirm that Macauley Bonne underwent some planned cardiac investigations last week following a recent routine cardiac screen.
The results of these investigations have been discussed with the sports cardiologist and the player will continue to play and train as normal.

The club will continue to regularly screen his heart as recommended, as we do with all our players from U15 through to the first team.
