Senior Doctors Now Attending To Emergency Cases
Senior doctors at public health institutions have started to attend to emergency cases again after meeting the Health and Childcare Development Minister Obadiah Moyo.
Senior Hospital Doctors Association (SHDA) president Dr Shingai Nyaguse on Thursday revealed that her organisation has since communicated the new position to members. She said:
We met the minister on Wednesday and he made his promises, which we communicated to our membership this morning (Thursday).
FeedbackFollowing the meeting with our members, we are no longer on total withdrawal. We are seeing dire emergency cases.
Meanwhile, the junior doctors’ union, the Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association (ZHDA) secretary-general Dr Tawanda Zvakada said doctors were still incapacitated as the government has not made any offer.
