Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 28 August 2021:
- New cases: 131
- Local Cases: 131
- Returnees: 0
- Deaths: 16
- Hotspots: Cases in areas previously designated as hotspots have been declining due to public health control measures being implemented as surveillance continues in these areas.
- Vaccinations: 21 373 (first dose); 12 986 (second dose)
- Total Cumulative Vaccinations: 2 513 353 (first dose); 1 596 382 (second dose)
- As of 27 August 2021, @1500hrs there were 251 hospitalised cases: New Admissions 14, Asymptomatic 32, mild to moderate 152, severe 46 and 21 in Intensive Care Units.
- Tests: 2 421(Positivity today was 5.4%)
- Recoveries: 226; National Recovery Rate: 89%
- Active Cases: 9 202
- Total Cumulative Cases: 124 367
- Total Recoveries: 110 775
