Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 12 October 2021:
- New cases: 141
- Local Cases: 141
- Returnees: 0
- Deaths: 2
- The high number of cases constituting 56% of cases reported today Manicaland (54), Mash West (6), Midlands (7) Masvingo (7)and Mat North (5) are from outbreaks detected in schools.
- Vaccinations: 6 570 (first dose); 11 098 (second dose)
- Total Cumulative Vaccinations: 3 183 314 (first dose); 2 428 540 (second dose).
- As of 11 October 2021, 01500hrs there were 87 hospitalised cases: New Admissions 5, Asymptomatic 6, mild to moderate 63, severe 15 and 3 in Intensive Care Units.
- Tests: 4 859 (Positivity today was 2.9%)
- New Recoveries: 214; National Recovery Rate: 94%
- Active Cases: 1 678
- Total Cumulative Cases: 132 016
- Total Recoveries: 125 693
