Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Update 19 January 2022

Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 19 January 2022:
- 411 New Cases (All local) and 10 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases falls to 409 from 446 (yesterday).
- Vaccination Update: 6 998 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 222 834, 7 036 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 249 450 while 2 490 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 33 331.
- As of 18 January 2022, @1500hrs there were 126 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (9), Asymptomatic 17, mild to moderate 93, severe 9 and 7 in Intensive Care Units.
- 6 022 tests done today (Positivity today was 6.8%)
- 922 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 93% & Active cases go down 11 617.
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 227 552 Cases 210 675 recoveries & 5 276 Deaths.
