Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 09 April 2022:
- 33 New Cases (All local) and 0 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average for new cases falls to 68 from 73 (yesterday).
- Vaccination Update: 41 603 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5 703 517, 11 981 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 594 932 while 13 138 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 531 756.
- As of 08 April 2022, @1500hrs there were (28) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (2), Asymptomatic (6), mild to moderate (20), severe (0) and (2) in Intensive Care Units. 10 of the 28 hospitalized were vaccinated and 18 were not vaccinated.
- 1 924 tests were done today (Positivity today was 1.7%)
- 67 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 97% & Active cases go down 1 245.
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 246 958 Cases 240 256 recoveries & 5 457 Deaths.
