Update On Jet 1 Fuel Scarcity At Air Zimbabwe
Air Zimbabwe has issued a statement advising that the earlier announced flight disruptions that were blamed on the scarcity of Jet A1 fuel scarcity had been deterred.
In a statement, seen by Pindula News, the national carrier said the normal supply of fuel will resume. Reads the statement:
UPDATE ON THE ANTICIPATED FLIGHT SCHEDULE DISRUPTIONS
Air Zimbabwe wishes to update its valued passengers and other stakeholders on the precautionary statement issued earlier, that the anticipated flight schedule disruptions have been averted as key suppliers of Jet AI fuel have advised of resumption of normal supply of the product.

The airline had earlier announced that its suppliers had advised of constraints in the movement of fuel.
Air Zimbabwe also said it would update passengers on the flight schedule changes at the earliest possible time as they continued to monitor the supply situation.
Nigeria also recently suspended its flights citing the same problem.
The war between Russia and Ukraine has disrupted oil and fuel supply and has also seen prices of several commodities going up.
