Top ANC Official, Fikile Mbalula, Says AKA Was Assassinated
ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula has said musician AKA was assassinated.
The rapper, whose real name is Kiernan Forbes, and his former manager Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, were shot in Durban on Friday night.
Speaking to eNCA, Mbalula expressed confidence that the police will apprehend the killers. He said:
We can’t make speculations, but we know, it was a hit, AKA was assassinated.
We believe in the capacity of the police to dig deep and get the killers and also why it happened.

Mbalula called for anyone with information to come forward.
Meanwhile, a prayer was held on Sunday evening in Durban by fans and industry peers for AKA and Tibz.
Ashleigh La Foy, who is an artist in Durban said that AKA gave South Africa timeless music.
