George Tawengwa is among one of the most celebrated business people in Zimbabwe. Besides being the first black person to purchase a commercial farm in Marondera, he also had interests in the transport sector in the form of Mushandirapamwe Bus Services Company as well as Mushandirapamwe Hotel in Highfield at Machipisa Shopping Centre. Mushandirapamwe retail outlets were also part of Tawengwa's business empire which had several retail outlets in areas such as Mbare and Epworth and Marondera.
