Legal Secretary

Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above mentioned post.

The legal secretary provides secretarial and administrative support to the Authority and reports to the Legal Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Attend to visitors professionally.
• Handling incoming mail and calls.
• Organize and coordinate legal meetings.
• Take, type and distribute minutes for meetings.
• Prepares and manaae correspondence'.
• Document and maintain confidential department files/ records.
• Assist with department presentations and reports.
• Implement and maintain office procedures and systems.
• Provide appropriate and timely feedback and assistance to clients.
• And any other duties assigned by the superiors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Aminimum of a National Diploma in Secretarial Studies or equivalent.
• Five (5) Ordinary Level Passes including English Language.
• Aminimum of three (3) years working experience in a public sector environment.
• Computer literacy is a must.
• Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
• Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, including proof reading skills and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
