Graduate Trainees: Accounting (x2)

Job Description

Mutasa Rural District Council is inviting University Graduates for a two (2) year post Graduate Traineeship in the Finance Department. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Taking proactive role in managing and collecting debts from Council debtors.
• Production of Debtors Follow up Schedules statements for debtors.
• Negotiating terms and payment plans.
• Managing the collection of all payments and debts.
• Liaising with customers, and responding to client inquiries on debtors
• Managing the debtor's ledger.
• Preparation and delivery of letters of demand and summons.
• Following up of debtor's physical, telephonically, through emails, sms, etc.
• Receipting of income revenue.
• Cash book updating, Bank reconciliation and preparation of weekly and monthly management reports.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5'0' Level including Mathematics and English.
• Degree in Accounting (Class 2.1 or better) is a must.
• Should have completed the degree at least two (2) or less years ago.
• Proficiency in Sage Pastel and LADS and Microsoft Excel an added advantage.
• Work experience in a local authority environment is an added advantage.
• A clean Class 4 or 3 driver's licence is an added advantage.
• No criminal record.
• At least 25 years and below.
