Chigowe, previously the assistant coach, took over from Genesis Mangombe in mid-2024 after Mangombe’s departure to Scotland.

Looking ahead, if Simba Bhora defeats CAPS United and FC Platinum loses to Dynamos, the gap between the two teams will widen to nine points as they enter the final three matches of the season.
This scenario would put Simba Bhora in a strong position to clinch their first PSL title, as they would need to lose all three remaining matches for FC Platinum to have a chance, while FC Platinum would need to win all their games.

Dynamos caretaker coach Lloyd “Mablanyo” Chigowe does not expect an easy win when DeMbare hosts Yadah in a rescheduled Chibuku Super Cup quarter-finals match at Rufaro Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Dynamos enters the Harare derby after suffering two consecutive league defeats against rival teams CAPS United and Chicken Inn.
The match was originally scheduled for last month but was postponed due to Dynamos’ commitments in the CAF Confederations Cup against Botswana’s Orapa United. Said Chigowe:

He scored the winning goal in the first match, helping the Warriors secure a 1-0 victory.
However, he was unable to complete the return leg on Monday, which Zimbabwe won 3-1. Concerns arose about his condition after he took an awkward fall in the second half.
Billiat and the rest of the local contingent from the Warriors were expected to return home late yesterday afternoon.
Dynamos are also expected to welcome back vice-captain Emmanuel Jalai and goalkeeper Martin Mapisa, who have returned from national team duty.

It will be difficult to lift the boys after this, but that’s our job we will go back and talk to them so that we can challenge in other competitions.

Success invites a lot of pressure. The fact that we are still in the Confederation Cup means we have piled up fixtures going forward but we will try to work as scientifically as possible in terms of recovery management.

But we have to go over it. Hopefully, the mother body (ZIFA) and the PSL will look into the fixture congestion.
