Award-winning Zimdancehall artist <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Seh_Calaz">Seh Calaz</a>, whose real name is Tawanda Mumanyi, has urged women to desist from using skin lightening, or skin bleaching creams due to peer pressure saying the cosmetic procedure is not for everyone.
Skin bleaching is a cosmetic procedure that aims to lighten dark areas of skin or achieve a generally paler skin tone.
Posting on his Facebook page, Seh Calaz conceded that women have a right to choose to use skin bleaching or not, but warned that the majority of those who have used the creams are now yearning for their original skin tone. He wrote:

The musician implored those in the business of selling skin-lightening creams to be humane and warn their customers of the side effects of the cosmetics. He said:

According to <a href="https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/cosmetic-procedures/non-surgical-cosmetic-procedures/skin-lightening/">NHS</a>, the possible risks of skin-lightening creams containing hydroquinone, corticosteroids or mercury include:

<li>skin turning dark or too light.</li>
<li>thinning of the skin.</li>
<li>visible blood vessels in the skin.</li>
<li>scarring.</li>
<li>kidney, liver or nerve damage.</li>
<li>abnormalities in a newborn baby (if used during pregnancy)</li>

Seh Calaz Warns Women Against Skin Bleaching

Musicians <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Seh_Calaz">Seh Calaz</a> and <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Baba_Harare">Baba Harare</a>, as well as social media personality <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Night_Shadaya_Tawona">Shadaya</a>, have defended Executive Chairman and Founder of Nash Holdings Tinashe Mutarisi after he clashed with preacher-cum-ZANU PF apologist <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Passion_Java">Passion Java</a>, and singer <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Mudiwa_Hood">Mudiwa Hood</a> on social media.
Mutarisi lambasted Java and Hood, saying they were jealous of him for “the love and respect from the people of Zimbabwe” that he receives without putting any effort.
He also claimed that Java and Hood have continuously attacked him and his Nash Paints business “without any valid reason.”
Posting on Facebook, Seh Calaz, real name Tawanda Mumanyi, said he doesn’t really care who is right or wrong but will not support a fake prophet, adding that Java fakes his whole lifestyle. Wrote Seh Calaz:

Jiti musician Baba Harare, whose real name is Braveman Chizvino, dismissed Hood’s response to Mutarisi where he pleaded innocence. He said:

Shadaya, Baba Harare And Seh Calaz Defend Tinashe Mutarisi

<a href="https://wiki.pindula.co.zw/Zimdancehall" title="Zimdancehall">Zimdancehall</a> artist <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Seh_Calaz">Seh Calaz</a>, whose real name is Tawanda Mumanyi, has condemned people who are seemingly celebrating Mai TT’s jailing for theft of trust property, fraud and assault.
<a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Mai_Titi">Mai TT</a>, born Felistas Murata, was last week sentenced to an effective nine (9) months imprisonment following her conviction.
Soon after her sentencing, some people took to social media platforms to mock the comedienne who has more than 1.4 million followers on Facebook.
However, Seh Calaz believes it is wrong to celebrate Mai TT’s imprisonment, saying every person has his or her skeletons in the closet. The Zimdancehall chanter <a href="https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=283610740934059">wrote on Facebook</a>:

"No Human Being Is Perfect", Seh Calaz Defends Jailed Mai TT

Musician Seh Calaz, whose real name is Tawanda Mumanyi, could be arrested for defaulting in paying $45 000 monthly maintenance for his minor child.
Harare magistrate, Judith Taruvinga, ordered Mumanyi to pay $45 000 in monthly maintenance fees effective 31 March 2022.
The Zimdancehall chanter is expected to provide support until the child reaches the age of 18.
Mumanyi was also ordered to deposit the money into the account of the mother of his child on or before the 30th or 31st of every month.
However, the musician is now in arrears, according to a letter from his ex-lover, Moira Knight, which she wrote through her lawyers. Part of the letter reads:

Further to the Magistrates’ Court order requiring you to pay $45 000 monthly for the minor, we write to you to kindly make payments as required by law promptly without delay.
And, clear the arrears of amounts due, failure of which we are instructed to institute criminal proceedings, without further notice to you.
We trust that this shall not be necessary.

The maintenance was broken down as $15 000 for food, $10 000 (rent), clothes $5 000, medicals $5 000 and ancillaries $5 000.

Popular Zimdancehall musician Winky D has poured his heart out following the death of Soul Jah Love on Tuesday evening.
Posting on his Facebook page, Winky D paid tribute to the late artist for the way he overcame the challenges that he faced and also how he inspired the youths through his music. He wrote:

Now in excruciating pain, our fate we should all acknowledge and embrace
Since it is written and ought to be

Soul Jah Love was one of the few artistes who earned Seh Calaz’s respect in the industry, the musician said in a social media post on 10 February 2020.
Seh Calaz said then that Soul Jah Love needed the nations’ prayers, love and support instead of being looked down upon. Sel Calaz wrote then:
<blockquote>I don’t normally say this but this guy is one of the few artists I have respect for in this industry. He has been my friend, brother, a rival for years.
I think as a nation he needs more of our prayers, support and love. People go through so many personal hurdles and conflicts but as public figures most of the times nobody really knows the hardships you face in your personal life.

Winky D Mourns Soul Jah Love... And Seh Calaz's Remarks A Year Ago

Multi-award winning Zimbabwean musician, Seh Calaz has called on the government to deal with the multi-faceted problems afflicting the country for the sake of present and future generations.
Posting on Twitter on Monday, Calaz reminded Zimbabwean authorities that artists are not enemies of the State but its allies. He <a href="https://twitter.com/SehCalazMusic/status/1290251141356298240" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">wrote</a>:

Meanwhile, rugby World Champion Tendai “Beast” Mtawarira has commiserated with fellow countrymen who were either abducted and tortured by suspected State agents or arrested by police for exercising their democratic rights over the past weekend. A nephew to ZimLive editor Mduduzi Mathuthu, Tawanda Muchehiwa was allegedly seized from police custody by the Ferret Team soon after his arrest on Thursday.
The 22-year-old second-year journalism student spent two days in a bushy area were his captors severely tortured him and forced him to drink his urine. He was dumped two days later near his home and is currently hospitalised with back and renal injuries.

Seh Calaz, Mtawarira Commiserate With Victims Of State Brutality

Tarrus Riley’s maiden tour of Zimbabwe set for the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) has been moved to October 28 from October 27.
Riley, who will be accompanied on the tour by celebrated Jamaican saxophonist Dean Fraser and the Blak Soil band, announced the change of date on his Facebook page. Daily News could not get a comment from the show promoter Entertainment Republic but flyers being circulated around confirm the new date. Tarrus will share the stage with Jah Prayzah, Soul Jah Love, Seh Calaz, Killer T and Godfather Templeman. Gary Tight is also scheduled to perform at the show.
