<p>Joseph Guti has assumed leadership of the ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries after being ordained as the Presiding Bishop on Sunday.</p>
<p>He is the grandson of the late church founder, Archbishop Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti.</p>
<p>As reported by <a href="https://www.zbcnews.co.zw/zaoga-ordains-new-leader/"><strong>ZBC News</strong></a>, the ordination took place at the Africa Multination for Christ College (AMFCC) in Glen View, Harare, during a ceremony attended by hundreds of congregants and religious leaders from around the world.</p>
<p>During the event, ZAOGA FIF Secretary General Mishael Nyambo said Guti had been accepted by the executive as the ordained Presiding Bishop and entrusted with the mandate to lead the church. Said Nyambo:</p>

<p>So according to the Constitution of the ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries and the guidance rules and policy, it empowers the executive to make such decisions.</p>
<p>And there is nothing that we do without another appointment and the endorsement of their executive.</p>
<p>So we are so glad that Dr Joseph Guti was accepted by the executive to be the presiding bishop ordained and given the mandate to lead the church.</p>
<p>And we believe that you continue to unite us because our father before he left home, left us united and we are continuing in that same spirit. The church is at peace.</p>

<p>The appointment of Joseph Guti comes 14 months after the passing of Archbishop Ezekiel Guti, who was declared a national hero.</p>
<p>Joseph Guti said ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries has been expanding globally, recently inaugurating a new church in South Korea. He said:</p>

<p>It is a task that I don’t take lightly. But the good news is that we are continuing in the solid footsteps and solid foundation laid by our father, the founding father and president.</p>
<p>The visionary of the Ministry laid the strong foundation for ZAOGA Faith in Ministries for 63 years before his departure after he was promoted to glory.</p>
<p>So as a church, we have been moving forward in faith, as our name says, in unity, in love, in prayer, in the fear of God. So we are so thankful for the atmosphere of unity that is prevailing in the church.</p>
<p>And we have good news that even this year, we have opened a new church in South Korea.</p>
<p>So we are talking about the growth and expansion of the church. And I’m not working alone.</p>

<p>Joseph is married to Nyasha M. Guti, who is a powerful teacher of the word of God. She holds a BSC. Degree in Computer Science (U.Z.) and Master of Science in Strategic Management (CUT).</p>
<p>Nyasha also holds a Diploma in Microfinance Management, a Diploma in Biblical Studies and Christian Leadership from AMFCC as well as a Bachelor of Biblical Studies and Christian Leadership Degree.</p>
<p>The practice of children succeeding their fathers in church leadership, often termed hereditary succession, is relatively common worldwide, particularly in Pentecostal and Charismatic churches.</p>

<p>President Emmerson Mnangagwa has conferred national hero’s status on  <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Ezekiel_Guti">Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti</a>, the late founder and leader of the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) Forward in Faith International Ministries.</p>
<p>Guti died in South Africa on 05 July, just a few weeks after he had celebrated his 100th birthday.</p>
<p>The late preacher probably becomes the first ever Zimbabwean cleric to be granted the highest honour of the land purely on the basis of his works as a religious figure.</p>
<p>In 2012, Guti established the Ezekiel Guti University in Bindura, reportedly at a cost of US$100 million. He and his wife, Eunor Guti, were the joint chancellors.</p>
<p>He also oversaw the construction of the Mbuya Dorcas Hospital in Harare, which opened its doors in 2012.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.zimlive.com/mnangagwa-grants-iconic-cleric-ezekiel-guti-national-hero-status/"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">ZimLive</span></a> reported that Guti was married twice and had seven children with Eunor – daughters Sarah Rusere, La-Verne Simukai, Fiona Arthurs, Dorcas Jaricha, Gracious Chikore and Ethanim Nyajeka.</p>
<p>Their only son, Ezekiel Junior, who had physical disabilities, died in a drowning incident in 2017.</p>
<p>Guti was among the beneficiaries of the much-criticised farm mechanisation scheme, one of the quasi-fiscal activities of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.</p>
<p>According to the <a href="https://bigsr.africa/bsr-exclusive-beneficiaries-of-the-rbz-farm-mechanisation-scheme/"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Big Saturday Read (BSR) of 17 July 2020</span></a>, all the beneficiaries of the scheme did not pay back the loans and the burden was put on the taxpayer. The BSR read in part:</p>

<p>The list of beneficiaries includes the following members of the clergy: Archbishop Ezekiel Guti who is listed as owing US$116,693.00; Nolbert Kunonga who was very popular with the Mugabe regime at the time of the Farm Mechanisation Scheme was awarded a loan of US$98,661.00.</p>
<p>There is also an Agatha Kunonga who is listed as having received US$58,318.00. Rutendo Wutawunashe is listed as owing US$18,200.00.</p>
<p>Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi was the biggest beneficiary among members of the clergy, with two loans of US$271,000.00 and US$315,600.00 for a grand total of US$586,600.00.</p>
<p>None of these men and women of the cloth repaid their loans. It is probably not surprising that they are among the foremost endorsers of the regime.</p>

Ezekiel Guti Declared National Hero

<p>The body of Archbishop <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Ezekiel_Guti"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti</span></a>, the late founder and leader of the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) Forward in Faith International Ministries will be repatriated to Zimbabwe on Saturday, 22 July, a church official has said.</p>
<p>Guti died in South Africa on 05 July, just a few weeks after he had celebrated his 100th birthday.</p>
<p>In a notice to congregants in Greater Harare, Norton and Chitungwiza, ZAOGA FIF secretary general Apostle M. Nyambo said Guti’s remains will arrive at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport around midday this Saturday. Said Nyambo:</p>

<p>We announce the homecoming of our Father, who is accompanied by our mother, Archbishop Prof. Eunor Guti and the family this Saturday, 22 July 2023, around 12:00 pm.</p>
<p>We, therefore, encourage Greater Harare, Norton, and Chitungwiza members to come in numbers and honour our Father at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, Harare, on this historic day.</p>
<p>We will line up along Airport Road from the Airport Roundabout to Braeside Roundabout before the convoy proceeds to the Parlour.</p>
<p>You are encouraged to wear any ZAOGA FIF regalia for this occasion. Designated parking spaces have been identified, and details will be communicated by the organisers soon.</p>
<p>Those from outside Harare are encouraged to come for the Grand Celebrations scheduled for 3-6 August 2023.</p>
<p>The Overseers and the Bishops are welcome to represent their Provinces.</p>

Ezekiel Guti's Body Set To Be Repatriated On 22 July

<p>Former Mashonaland Central provincial governor <strong><a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Martin_Dinha/">Martin Dinha</a></strong> has claimed that he helped the late Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) Church founder, Ezekiel Guti, to establish Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti (ZEGU) University in Bindura “against all odds.”</p>
<p>In his tribute to the clergyman who passed away on Thursday at the age of 100, Dinha praised Guti as an accomplished development practitioner.</p>
<p>He said he collaborated with Guti on many projects, including the Prayer Mountain and the expansion of the ZAOGA Church. Dinha wished Guti’s family comfort in his passing and celebrated his rich legacy. He said:</p>
<blockquote>
<p><em>You were our spiritual father, very principled and development oriented. I worked with you dear departed father to establish ZEGU University in Bindura against all odds.</em></p>
<p><em>Guti was truly a man of God, development practitioner par excellence, caring and loving across denominations and religions.</em></p>
<p><em>I was close to him and worked closely with Prophet Guti as Executive Mayor of Bindura and Governor and Resident Minister and later as Minister of State, and in my own personal, spiritual life and journey.</em></p>
<p><em>He enriched many people’s lives spiritually and physically, including mine. From humble beginnings, he established an African Christian church that went far afield to preach the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ and God the Almighty.</em></p>
<p><em>Simple, humble, disciplined, exuberant with so much positive energy, preaching and practicing Ubuntu are traits of a hero and crusader who will be solely missed and remembered by all.</em></p>
<p><em>Go well dear father, go well man of God. We will forever remember and love you, and to Amai, the Guti family and church, let’s all be comforted by the rich legacy left behind by this great man of God and our hero. We celebrate a life well-lived and we thank God.</em></p>

<p>Ezekiel Guti is survived by his wife Eunor, several children, and grandchildren. He passed away two months after celebrating his 100th birthday at an event attended by President Emmerson Mnangagwa. The church he founded, which had humble beginnings under a gum tree in Bindura in 1960, has now expanded its reach to over 140 nations and states worldwide.</p>

Martin Dinha: I Helped Guti Establish ZEGU University In Bindura

<p>The family of Archbishop Ezekiel Guti, founder of Zimbabwe Assemblies of God (ZAOGA) Forward in Faith International Ministries (FIFIM), is working on the repatriation of the late church leader’s body from South Africa.</p>
<p>According to Secretary-General Apostle Mishael Nyambo, the church is complying with the laws of South Africa to ensure the body’s safe return to Zimbabwe, where the burial will take place. The exact location of the burial will be communicated later. He said:</p>
<blockquote>
<p><em>We are doing all that is needed to the laws of the land in South Africa ready for the body to be repatriated to Zimbabwe. We do not know yet but we will inform you in due course. The burial will be In Zimbabwe but the exact location will be communicated as we go. The family and the church are currently in consultation and when they are clear we will be able to speak to the nation but what we have done at the moment is that ZAOGA faith in mission met on the 6th of July and they have declared one month of mourning.</em></p>
<p><em>We call it the month of celebrations because we are celebrating the death of such a great leader who has done so much not in Zimbabwe only but the world over. I want to inform you that ZAOGA is a big family, we cannot have a home where people gather so the executive has directed that across the country in all our respective churches people will be gathering for prayers and testimonies of how Baba Guti’s gospel has impacted them.</em></p>
<p><em>We also want to make the nation aware that ZAOGA is not embarking on a go-funding project to fund this programme. We have enough resources in the church. Some people are starting to misrepresent us, it’s not acceptable.</em></p>

Guti Family Working On Repatriation Of Archbishop's Body From South Africa

<p>ZAOGA FIF Ministries has declared a 30-day mourning period, starting on 06 July 2023, following the death of the church’s founder and leader Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti on 05 July.</p>
<p>In a letter addressed to ZAOGA FIF members, the church’s secretary-general M. Nyambo said the executive and national council resolved to suspend all conferences, Provincial Council Meetings, District Council Meetings, Seminars, tournaments and related events during the period of mourning. Said Nyambo:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>To mark and honour the promotion of our father to greater glory on the 5th of July 2023, the ZAOGA EXECUTIVE and National Council at its meeting of the 6th of July 2023, made the following resolutions;</p>
<p>1. That there be a 30-day Celebration (mourning) period from 6 July 2023 to 5 August 2023. “And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended” (Deut 34:8).</p>
<p>2. During this period, all conferences, Provincial Council Meetings, District Council Meetings, Seminars, tournaments and such other activities have been suspended save for gatherings where people will be meeting for prayer such as the Tuesday Ladies prayer meetings</p>
<p>3. The church is encouraged to meet in their respective places, praying for the strengthening of our Mother Prof Eunor Guti and Family, the church at large and encouraging each other through testimonies of how their lives have been impacted by the teachings of our father. “For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.” (Acts 15:21).</p>
<p>4. You are all advised not to travel to Harare for these celebrations until the date of the grand celebrations has been communicated.</p>
<p>5. All communication in connection with these celebrations (mourning) will be on official ZAOGA FIF Letterhead, duly signed by authorized personnel and date stamped.</p>

Ezekiel Guti Death: ZAOGA Declares 30 Day Period Of Mourning

<p>Zimbabwean billionaire and philanthropist, Strive Masiyiwa, has paid tribute to Archbishop Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti, the late founder and leader of the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) Forward in Faith International Ministries.</p>
<p>In a Facebook post, Masiyiwa, who is the founder of Zimbabwe’s largest mobile network operator by subscriber base, Econet Zimbabwe, described Guti as “a legend in global Christian circles”.</p>
<p>Masiyiwa said he met Guti almost three decades ago, at a time he was under surveillance by State security agents. Wrote Masiyiwa:</p>

<p>A Fuel Stop on Faith’s Journey… My farewell tribute to the beloved Archbishop Ezekiel Guti</p>
<p>I remember the day like it was yesterday and yet it was actually 27 years ago. A visitor came to our home in Harare and informed me that Bishop Guti (as he was then) wanted to see me.</p>
<p>Given the constant surveillance from security agents that I lived under, I was advised to give them a slip and go to the place where I was to see him.</p>
<p>I have rarely been so excited in my whole life to meet someone. This man already in his seventies was a legend in global Christian circles and few people got a chance to meet him personally.</p>
<p>I was not a member of his church congregation and never became a member. The ministry he had built from 1960, known as the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa [ZAOGA], already boasted millions of members and was expanding throughout Africa and the world.</p>
<p>As I was ushered into his office, I was immediately struck by the humble surroundings; the room was small and had just a few simple chairs.</p>
<p>He himself was sitting at an equally simple and worn desk that could have been bought from a local IKEA store.</p>
<p>He warmly invited me to sit on a chair at his desk, and smiled kindly, before saying in a very soft voice, “Shall we pray?”</p>
<p>I bowed my head as he did, and listened to a short but barely audible prayer in which he thanked God for protecting me and giving me the faith to endure the persecution I was under.</p>
<p>Although he asked me to give him a history of the dispute by which the government had banned me from operating my business, a mobile telephone network, it was clear after a few moments that he was extremely well briefed.</p>
<p>He listened with keen sparkling eyes that just looked straight at me as I spoke. The warmth he generated was so powerful that I just felt love filling my heart.</p>
<p>At one time he reached into his pocket and gave me a handkerchief as I realised that tears were falling down my cheeks.</p>
<p>“There is no problem with what you are trying to do; it’s just corrupt people using the system for their own gain,” he said quietly. “You have taken a stand against corruption, which is your duty as a Christian.”</p>
<p>He had a huge well worn Bible on his desk, and he said to me, “You know, of course, there is no weapon ever devised by man against The Word of God. I’m told you are a ferocious reader of the Bible.”</p>
<p>“Yes sir,” I replied. “I currently go through the entire Bible twice a year, and I just can’t get enough of it.”</p>
<p>“It is that and that alone that is generating the power called faith and that is why you are unstoppable. I want you to intensify your study.”</p>
<p>For a while, I shared with him some testimonies of how I felt God had been helping me. He enjoyed every moment of it and I saw him get excited.</p>
<p>At one time he lifted his hand and said, “You know of course that you are going to prevail?”</p>
<p>“Yes, Baba, I know; I have always known.”</p>
<p>“Go my son, you are going to prevail, and keep doing what you are doing.” I knelt down as he prayed.</p>
<p>And with that, I left as quietly as I had come. He instructed that I be invited to teach a Bible class to an interdenominational gathering of business people over lunchtime every single day. I had my own weekly slot which was well attended.</p>
<p>I would simply lead a reading of the Bible, avoiding saying anything that could be deemed political or social commentary.</p>
<p>It was a powerful message that the church stood with me, and before long, other ministers requested me to do the same.</p>
<p>It would be another two years before we finally prevailed through the Courts. And yet that meeting was a “Fuel stop on my journey of faith”.</p>
<p>Although the persecution that eventually led me to leave the country 5 years later would intensify, after that meeting I felt validated and encouraged.</p>
<p>I kept it as a reminder, and whenever shaken by any setback, I turned to my own little pocket Bible knowing I was not alone.</p>
<p>On the day we launched our business, the nation’s church leaders from all denominations gathered for a service of Thanksgiving. Bishop Guti sent the most senior leaders of his vast ministry.</p>
<p>I did not meet him personally again for perhaps a decade, but he routinely reached out to me to find out how I was doing. On one occasion he invited me to meet the great Evangelist and now late Myles Monroe.</p>
<p>Our last meeting took place a few years ago on a British Airways flight to London. I met him in the lounge with just his wife Amai Guti and one assistant.</p>
<p>For those who did not know him, it could have just been any elderly man traveling with his wife. Such remarkable humility.</p>
<p>We walked to the plane together. To anyone looking who did not know, it was just an elderly couple walking with their son, and in many ways, it was how I would have loved the whole world to see it… my Baba and Amai (Apostle) Eunor Guti.</p>
<p>My condolences, thoughts and prayers are with Amai Archbishop Eunor Guti and the Guti family, and all from across Zimbabwe, Africa, and the world, who are touched by his loss.</p>
<p>May Archbishop Guti’s memory as a centenary light of Hope, Faith, Grace, and Love continue to bless and strengthen our journeys, inspiring us in Jesus’ name to lives of humble courage, compassion, and kindness to all along our paths.</p>

Guti has preached and taught in numerous countries, established Bible schools and orphanages, and founded multiple ministries and fellowships. He oversaw over 5,000 pastors and evangelists worldwide and is known for performing miracles.</p>
<p>Guti was also involved in philanthropic work, including the funding of children’s homes, orphanages, and health service centres. He wrote several books on Christian life and ministry, including A Wise Man, Prayer of a Righteous Man, and The Book of Remembrance.</p>
<p>Guti is survived by his wife, Eunor Guti, who is also a religious leader in their church. The couple had a child together, Ezekiel Junior Guti, who was also an evangelist in their ministry but passed away in 2018.</p>
<p>The church he founded has grown to become a big empire operating in 106 countries worldwide. In 2010, ZAOGA FIFMI celebrated its 50th anniversary, where Guti addressed a crowd of over 50,000 believers in Zimbabwe at the National Sports Stadium in Harare. </p>

BREAKING: ZAOGA Founder Bishop Ezekiel Guti Has Died

<p>President Emmerson Mnangagwa has said the State and the church are inseparable and the relationship dates back to the days of the struggle for independence from colonial rule.</p>
<p>Mnangagwa made the remarks at the centenary celebrations of ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries founder, Archbishop Ezekiel Guti held at Glamis Arena in Harare on Sunday. He said:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>The partnership and synergy between the State and Church is inseparable and dates back to the days of our protracted armed liberation struggle.</p>
<p>At cottage 953 in Harare Highfields, ZAOGA was nurtured to ultimately occupy the space that was predominantly a preserve of missionaries from beyond our borders.</p>
</blockquote>
<p>Mnangagwa assured the church that under his Government, freedom of worship is guaranteed. He said:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>I want to assure the Church fraternity that under the Second Republic, freedom of worship is constitutionally guaranteed.</p>
<p>My Government will further facilitate an enabling environment for the Church to carry out the great commission and to win souls, heal the sick and proclaim the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ. </p>
<p>Equally orphans, widows, the disabled and the elderly must be taken care of.</p>
<p>Together, as the State and Church, let us also nurture a citizenry, especially the youth, who are patriotic, disciplined, morally upright and loyal to our country Zimbabwe.</p>
<p>It is commendable, that to date, the Church fraternity has remained a beacon of Ubuntu/Hunhu as well as accelerating social development.</p>

<p>President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Sunday attended the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa – Forward in Faith Ministries International (ZAOGA-FIF) founder Ezekiel Guti’s centenary celebrations at Glamis Arena in Harare. Guti recently turned 100.</p>
<p>In his address, Mnangagwa paid tribute to Guti for his 75 years of preaching the Gospel and 63 years od ZAOGA’s existence. He said:</p>
<p>On this occasion, we have gathered here to witness history. I am honoured to be part of this occasion.</p>
<p>We are also commemorating 75 years of preaching and 63 years of ZAOGA church.</p>
<p>Developments in the church are clear testimony of grace upon Ezekiel Guti. We join the country in celebrating this historic moment. </p>
<p>We are all witnessing this through the works of this great church. I wish to congratulate you on behalf of the country and my family on this centenary celebration of your birth.</p>

Churches, Leaders, Musicians Celebrate Bishop Ezekiel Guti's 100th Birthday

<p>United States-based Zimbabwean preacher, Passion Java has said the imminent death of Ezekiel Guti will divide ZAOGA into two.<br/>
In a statement seen by Pindula News, Java said he had a vision in which he was shown Guti’s imminent death. </p>
<p>Guti, the founder of the <a class="mw-redirect" href="https://wiki.pindula.co.zw/Forward_in_Faith_International_Ministries" title="Forward in Faith International Ministries">Forward in Faith International Ministries</a> known simply as ZAOGA in Zimbabwe, turned 100 this Friday, May 5, 2023. In a message to commemorate Guti’s birthday, Java said:</p>

Passion Java Says Ezekiel Guti's "Imminent" Death Will Divide ZAOGA Into 2

<p>Five students at the <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Zimbabwe_Ezekiel_Guti_University"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU)</span></strong></a> have dragged the ZAOGA-FIF-run institution to the High Court for alleged discrimination.</p>
<p>The students were reportedly barred from contesting for positions in the Student Executive Council (SEC) on grounds that they cannot speak in tongues and are not “spirit-filled” to lead students.</p>
<p>In their High Court application, the students named ZEGU as the first respondent, its registrar Innocent Chinyemba the second respondent while dean of students Zacharia Zunguze is the third respondent.</p>
<p>The five students are Modester Zinhanga (presidential candidate), Godcares Nyereyemhuka (vice president), Trish Chimanda (secretary-general), Chris Zindi (Minister of Finance) and Obedience Mupezeni (Minister of Religion and Gender).</p>
<p>According to court papers, the five went through all processes that included nomination and interviews handled by Zunguze.</p>
<p>Zunguze later communicated that they had all been disqualified based on a section in the institution’s student handbook, amended this year.</p>
<p>The five are being represented by the Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum. The court papers read:</p>

<p>Zunguze received my application and facilitated interviews on the 3rd of November 2021.</p>
<p>I successfully participated in the interviews, which were presided over by Zunguze on behalf of the university.</p>
<p>On the 5th of November 2021 around 1500hours, Zunguze issued communication disqualifying my candidature together with a few other candidates.</p>
<p>Zunguze insists that the decision to disqualify me is based on Section 9 of the students’ handbook which states that I am not a member of ZAOGA, that I failed to show evidence of speaking in tongues and that I am not born again and spirit-filled.</p>
<p>These requirements are claimed to have been introduced by the new students’ handbook 2021 Edition under Section 9.</p>
<p>However, this is contrary to what has been the tradition and practice in previous elections, elections have always been governed by the Students Executive Council constitution.</p>

<p>In September this year, <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2021/09/04/zimbabwe-university-bans-inappropriate-clothing-on-campus/"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">ZEGU published a dress code that bars women from wearing “inappropriate clothing”</span></a> on campus which include skins tights, mini-skirts and see-through.</p>

ZAOGA University Bars Students For Failing To Speak In Tongues

<p>One of Zimbabwe’s oldest pentecostal churches, the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) Forward in Faith (FIF), is reported to be in the throes of a vicious power struggle as factions prepare for life after the 98-year-old founder Ezekiel Guti.</p>
<p><em>Zim Morning Post</em> reported that one faction has technically held Guti hostage, pushing him to anoint a successor before he leaves.</p>
<p>A source was quoted as saying since January this year, Guti has been “taken hostage” at his Chitungwiza home on the pretext that “the man of God was instructed to go and work from Chitungwiza.” Said the source:</p>
<blockquote><p>That is the official reason being pushed out there but we know Guti has been held hostage by a faction that has coalesced around his wife.</p>
<p>He is under involuntary house arrest. He is being managed to his death. ‘<em>Chinhu chatorwa ne G40 yemuchurch’</em> (power has been grabbed by the church’s younger generation).</p></blockquote>
<p>G40 was a ZANU PF faction that coalesced around former President Robert Mugabe and his wife Grace, before the military coup of November 2017.</p>
<p>Another church elder told <em>Zim Morning Post</em> that Guti has become inaccessible as those close to him have been booted out of their influential positions. Said the elder:</p>
<blockquote><p>They have already taken control of the church. The fight began when properties were transferred from his name without his knowledge and it took his daughter from his first marriage to reverse the move.</p></blockquote>

<p>Long-serving members were reportedly fired without following due processes in order to clear the way for a preferred successor to take over.</p>
<p>A high profile casualty of the brewing “coup” is said to be long-serving secretary general Washington Rupapa. A source said:</p>

<p>A self-proclaimed prophet, Talent Madungwe who recently morphed into Daniel Remnant has fumed over remarks on social media suggesting that he said he received televangelist Temitope Balogun known as TB Joshua in heaven when he died this week.</p>
<p>Madungwe said he never said that adding that it was not his duty as “the Heavenly Army Commander,” taking over from Michael, therefore, he never received TB Joshua.</p>

<p>Some claimed that Madungwe has a mental problem while some urged President Emmerson Mnangagwa to create employment for just one person, Talent Madungwe, as they believe he was acting in the way he is because he is not meaningfully occupied.</p>

Madungwe Fumes Over TB Joshua Remarks Attributed To Him, Speaks On Guti

<p>The Zimbabwe Assemblies of God in Africa (ZAOGA) Forward-in-Faith Ministries commemorated 59 years of existence worldwide, with local congregants in Chinhoyi also joining the celebrations through music, poetry and dance.</p>
<p>ZAOGA was founded by Professor Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti in 1960 and has since spread to other parts of the world.</p>
<p>An elder at the church denomination’s Hunyani district, who attended the celebrations at the International Christian Centre in Chinhoyi, Benjamin Sabata said:</p>
<blockquote><p>It’s very important for everyone to know how the church started as we go forward we have got new generations coming they should understand how the church started.</p></blockquote>
<p>FIF has been at the forefront, not only in championing the full gospel of Jesus Christ but has also played a huge role in education, opening schools across the country and a university, the Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University in Bindura.</p>

ZAOGA Celebrates 59 Years Of Existence

<p>Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (Zegu) chancellor Ezekiel Guti last Friday capped 178 students at the university’s campus in Bindura.</p>
<p>Most of the graduates were females and the event coincided with International Women’s Day. Of the graduates <strong> </strong>70 were males and 108 females. In her address at the institution’s third graduation ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Professor Sunungurai Chingarande-Mutanga said Zegu was contributing towards addressing gender imbalances in society. She said they have recorded an increase of 142 percent in terns of graduates. Said Chingarande-Mutanga:</p>
<blockquote><p>In our previous graduation ceremony, 80 students graduated. This is an increase of 142 percent. Our first graduation had 40 students. We are doing all we can to transform lives through a process we liken to grafting, turning lemon trees into orange trees through various spiritual Christian-related programmes.</p></blockquote>
<p>Guti was accompanied by his wife, Eunor, who is enrolled at the university for a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Business Administration and Management.</p>

<p>A prayer meeting convened by religious leaders in Harare on Thursday was well-attended as senior political leaders graced the occasion.</p>
<p>Despite turning down President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s invitation for dialogue at State House on Wednesday, MDC president Nelson Chamisa attended the prayer meeting.</p>
<p>Mnangagwa was absent although senior ZANU PF leaders and government officials attended, among them were Monica Mutsvangwa, the information minister, Cain Mathema, the home affairs minister and Obert Mpofu, the Zanu-PF secretary for administration.</p>
<p>Addressing the prayer gathering, leader of the Zion Church of Christ Nehemiah Mutendi said:</p>
<blockquote><p>We are happy Chamisa is here. President Mnangagwa was at the table when former president Mugabe sat down with Nkomo to forge a unity accord after political disturbances in Matabeleland.</p>
<p>What is it that is preventing Mnangagwa and advocate Chamisa to unite and take Zimbabwe forward?</p></blockquote>
<p>Founder of ZAOGA FIF Bishop Ezekiel Guti had this to say:</p>
<blockquote><p>At times it is necessary to lose one’s interest to accommodate another. It is like in a marriage, couples give up some of their interests to stay together.</p></blockquote>
<p>Chamisa also took to the podium and called on Mnangagwa to dialogue. Said Chamisa:</p>
<blockquote><p>It should not be difficult for me and Mnangagwa to talk … Any minute longer is time wasted. I would love to meet here and in any room. The fundamental problem is we need peace and unity.</p>
<p>Mnangagwa and I need to meet. As it is, my legislators can’t sleep and my people have been brutalised.</p>
<p>This country is very important. If we are to dialogue, the church is appropriate to lead this dialogue.</p></blockquote>

Churches Urge Zimbabwe Political Leaders To Put Country First

<p>Zimbabwe Assemblies of God-Africa<span> (ZAOGA) known internationally as Foward In Faith Ministries International (FIFMI) founder Ezekiel Guti is celebrating his 95th birthday today. Here is a list of some of his achievements over the years:</span></p>

<li>Together with his church, Guti has managed to build Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU) in Bindura. He also built Mbuya Dorcas Hospital in Waterfalls, Harare.</li>
<li><span>Guti is also well known for performing miracles, and in 2009, a prominent singer, visually impaired and former Jairosi Jiri Band member, </span><a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/index.php?title=David_Mabvuramuti&amp;action=edit&amp;redlink=1" title="David Mabvuramuti (page does not exist)">David Mabvuramuti</a><span>, who is now a pastor in ZAOGA.</span></li>
<li><span>He has founded bible schools in Zimbabwe, Ghana, Zambia, and Mozambique where he has trained over 4,000 pastors from more than 55 nations. In Zimbabwe there is Africa Multi-Nation for Christ Colleges (AMFCC)</span></li>
<li><span>In 2010, ZAOGA FIFMI celebrated its 50th anniversary, where Guti addressed a crowd of over 50,000 believers in Zimbabwe at the </span><a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/National_Sports_Stadium" title="National Sports Stadium">National Sports Stadium</a><span> in </span><a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Harare" title="Harare">Harare</a></li>

Five Achievements By ZAOGA Founder Ezekiel Guti You Probably Did Not Know

<p>Ezekiel Guti Jnr, son of the 94 year old Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa, Forward in Faith (ZAOGA FIF) church denomination founder and leader Ezekiel Guti has died today.</p>
<p>A communique on WhatsApp which Pindula confirmed to be true said the following:</p>
<blockquote><p>Dear Brethren,<br/>
It is with great sorrow that I inform you of the passing on of Evangelist Ezekiel Guti Junior this morning (Wednesday 27/12/2017). We will be updating you on the burial arrangements in good time to enable you to travel. In the meanwhile please do not travel to Harare for the funeral but remain in your Provinces and Nations as we put the logistics in place. We are hoping that the burial will take place in January 2018 just after the 10 days.</p>
<p>May I take this opportunity to ask you to pray for our Father and Mother, Pastor Carol and the children and the whole family to be comforted at this sad moment.</p>

Ezekiel Guti Jnr, Son To ZAOGA Leader Ezekiel Guti Has Died

<p>Zaoga Foward In Faith’s archbishop Ezekiel Guti launched six books last Saturday, bringing his total publications to 113. Guti launched various books including; ‘True Grace and False Grace’, ‘Sabbath is a day for resting?’, ‘Various Ways, Various Times’, ‘Tsamba dzemazuva gumi dzegore negore’, ‘Girls Fellowship’ and ‘Families Builder Ministry Manual Volume One’ which he wrote with his wife, Eunor Guti at Deeper Conference at the church’s Bible school venue.</p>
<p>Speaking to The Sunday Mail he said that he wrote the book ‘True Grace and False Grace’ in three nights. He said the book was inspired by his followers in America who wanted to know the true meaning of grace.</p>
